Site Description | This is the best preserved 19th-century cargo shipwreck from Ukraine. Each finding of that kind is relatively unique as their excavation, preservation, and curation is very complicated. Maritime archaeology museum is the only of its kind in the post-soviet countires and therefore it represents unique pages of the history of that part of the world. The wreck has been used for carrying and trading large cargo and sunk in the Lower part of Dnipro river, probably in the late 19th century. For more details please review the manifest. |
